Monk Fly and Camilla Hill//an afternoon…

throw them terms around all you want

this right here is good music

eerie, heavy, and I likes, especially after that haze of a party in CDown last night… ahooho

AN AFTERNOON WITH CAMILLA is a beautiful collaboration between producer MONK FLY and vocalist CAMILLA HILL. CAMILLA HILL’s delicate, soulful vocals are woven and dubbed gorgeously over the mesmerizing atmospheres and stepping beats of MONK FLY. The result is hauntingly timeless music. We recommend listening to this release in the slow after hours. It is ideal for slow movements on the couch or slow stepping on the dance floor.

STORY:
MONK FLY first saw CAMILLA HILL perform at PEATS RIDGE festival 06; MONK FLY was the sound engineer for that same stage and knew straight away that this young, nervous folks artist was the real thing. It wasn’t until PEATS RIDGE festival 07 was cancelled that these two met again on a camping trip. They became good friends and early 2008 CAMILLA HILL paid MONK FLY an afternoon visit at THE FREQUENCY LAB studio and AN AFTERNOON WITH CAMILLA was born.

AVAILABILITY:
DIGITAL/ MP3 available from ITUNES and other online stores – Distributed by IODA VINYL 12” available at all good record stores – Distributed by Vinyl Factory Australi
